I feel its better that he knew his father loved him rather than feeling abandoned later in life. As some kids with single mothers do.

Right after I had my baby, I worked in a 3 story building. I had to go up and down numerous times a day. I lost all of the baby weight (35lbs) in 3 months. Of course, I gained it all back in the first 5 years of his life.

Take a look at the video posted. looks to me like he had the bread in his hands. althought I can't be sure.

I agree- I teach my child that although we don't have much, we have enough to share. As much as we scrape money together at times when Food drives come around, we go to the store, he has a set amount to spend and he picks the best deals to give someone else the most for his money. Two lessons in 1.

I suppose I should have said the people I hear talking about a job - are People I have actually talked to! Not 'people say...' kind of thing - but actual people who come in and look for a job. I talked with 1 person - his daughter is out of a job.

Thanks! That is what I thought when I actually watched the video - instead of just reading the article. I think the writer shortened the article and forgot to say he picked up the bread and fled.

That is what I was thinking. People say they are desperate - where is the government assistance? I know you have to jump through hoops to get it and it's probably not much, but isn't that better than robbing a store?
